Sales Assault uses sensors which you place on your site. There are several types. Read the description for each sensor a then decide which pages on your site need which type of sensor. Every page on your site should have 1 sensor. See the example for a typical site.

Note: The sensors will be visible on your site for testing and then you can make them invisible once you have it setup and running. Select the invisible option at the bottom of this page.

Sales Sensor
General Sensor (multiple required)
This sensor needs to added to every page on your site apart from sales pages, shopping cart pages and payment pages. It tracks all the core details like country, entrance page, screen type, referer, search engines and keywords.

Shopping Cart Sensor (at least 1 required)
This sensor tracks if a visitor used your shopping cart. This needs to be placed on your shopping cart page. We provide you with 3 shopping cart sensors. For example if you have a custom cart for credit card payments and a seperate pre-order page for mobile SMS phone payments you would add 2 shopping cart sensors. This will provide stats for how many people go on make a purchase, or how many change their mind and don't. If you use the Paypal® shopping cart then you will not need to add this sensor. The Paypal® sensor will do this for you.

Payment Page Sensor (at least 1 required)
This sensor needs to be added to your secure payment page. We provide you with 3 payment page sensors in case you have multiple payment options. This provides vital information on how many people visit your payment page, how many make a purchase and how many change their mind or have a problem on your payment page. If you use Paypal® will not need to add this sensor. The Paypal® sensor will do this for you.

Sales Sensor (at least 1 required)
This sensor tracks a closed sale. It needs to be placed on a page that can only be reached when a sale is confirmed. For example you may place this sensor on thank you page or the sales receipt confirmation page. If you use multiple payment systems then this sensor will detect which payment system was used. This sensor is secure so you can place it on your existing secure pages if needed.

Paypal® Sensor (only required if you use Payapl®)
If you use Paypal® for one of your payment methods then use this sensor. There is only limited data we can capture from the Paypal® pages. This sensor will let you count the number of people who enter into the Paypal ® system and the number of sales. We use the custom payment page option in Paypal® by adding the sensor to the custom graphic you can add to your payment pages. To set this up and more details press the button below:

Invisible Sensors
Select this option if you would like to make your sensors invisible. We suggest you do this only when you have installed your sensors on your site and have started tracking visitors and sales.
